Steel drum classes will begin Monday, February 1st.  The classes are free and will be every Monday from 5pm to 6pm.  You must be 13 and up.  Stop by and sign up today!

Literacy Volunteers are going to offer an after-school youth program to help students improve their English skills.  This is great for anyone looking to learn English or just work on their reading/writing skills.  This program is also free and will be 1-2 days a week.  Come in to learn more and pick up an application!  To learn more about Literacy Volunteers, go to their website here.  We are looking to start in February.

Girl Talk!, the Center’s discussion group for teen girls will be starting up Thursday, January 28th.  It is a weekly discussion group that gives girls a space to discuss, inquire, and learn more about different issues that are important in their lives.  Talk to Janice if you want to sign up.

Game Night at the Center will be every Thursday, from 4pm to 7pm, throughout January.  Our first Game Night was last night and we had tons of fun playing Katamari Damacy on the PlayStation with some Uno on the side.

Move Night at the Center will be every Friday, from 5pm to 7pm.  We will be kicking off 2010 with a movie tonight so come, eat some popcorn, and watch a movie with us.
